Kiwitt Retains WBF World Super Welterweight Title

FIGHT REPORT   Photo: Freddy Kiwitt is still the World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Super Welterweight champion.
 
 

Freddy Kiwitt successfully defended the World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Super Welterweight title for the second time on Saturday night, January 17, in his home-town of Flensburg, Germany.

At the GP Joule Arena Flensburg, going out live world-wide on DAZN, Kiwitt out-boxed Nigerian challenger Suleiman Jafaru to score a clear unanimous decision.

 

Judges Janine Schilling, Zoltan Enyedi and Frank Michael Mass scored it 118-110, 117-110 and 117-111 for the man who became WBF world champion in November of 2023.

Kiwitt improved his professional record to 29-3 (18), while Jafaru, a former Nigerian national champion, drops to 17-2 (14).

The fight headlined a show promoted by Claussen Events in association with Kiwitt´s PWR Box Promotion.
