World Boxing Federation (WBF) Women’s World Atomweight Champion Mayela “La Cobrita” Perez from Mexico is the WBF Boxer of the Month for February 2017.
Perez won the WBF World title on February 18 in her hometown of Saltillo, defeating unbeaten compatriot Maryan Salazar by unanimous decision.
Always an underdog, Perez (31) proved that records are often just numbers as she won her fourth straight victory and improved her misleading record to 15-21-4 (10).
