Lasha Gurguliani is the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Boxer of the Month for January 2020, winning the award for the second time.
The Georgian made a successful first defense of the WBF World Super Welterweight title on January 26 in Tbilisi, stopping Mexico´s former WBO Latino champion Edgar “Nene” Ortega in round eight.
Winning his sixth fight on the spin, thoroughly dominating his challenger, 29-year-old Gurguliani improved his professional record to 19-6 (7).
