Having
already won French national and
European titles at Super
Featherweight,
Angelique Duchemin
from France moved down to
Featherweight for her crowning
moment, winning the World Boxing
Federation (WBF) World
Featherweight title on May 12 in
Royan, France.
That
achievement makes her the WBF
Boxer of the Month for May 2017.
From Thuir in
southern France, 25-year-old
Duchemin boxed wonderfully to
win a unanimous decision over
Ericka Rousseau (11-1), also
from France, to become World
Champion.
A
professional for just over four
years, it is quite impressive
that she has won three
championships, defended the
French title twice and the
European title once, and
remained undefeated at 14-0 (3).
