Bantamweight (2010), Unathi
Myekeni became a two-weight
World Champion on September 8
when she captured the vacant WBF
crown at Featherweight.
In a rematch staged in Cape
Town, Myekeni
redeemed herself and beat WBF
International Champion Asandiswa
Nxokwana by clear unanimous
decision, having lost their
first encounter by ninth round
stoppage last March.
Nicknamed “Showtime”, the South
African improved her
professional record to 11-4-1
(5), and is the WBF Boxer Of The
Month for September 2017.
