Zimbabwean Elvis Moyo,
7-5-2 (3), returned to boxing
last July, after a four-year
hiatus where he competed in
Mixed Martial Arts.
Scoring a routine victory in his
first fight back, he regained
the WBF All Africa Heavyweight
title in August, a championship
he also held in 2013 when he
temporarily retired.
On January 26 he made the first
defense of his second reign,
winning a unanimous decision
over South Africa-based
Congolese Knife Didier, in what
was a real back-and-forth brawl.
This makes him the first WBF All
Africa Champion to receive WBF
Boxer of the Month honors.
