Still only twenty-six years old,
Luis “Muecas” Solis of Mexico
had come up short in some big
fights against world class
opponents, before taking on
compatriot Nery Saguilan for the
vacant World Boxing Federation
(WBF) World Light Welterweight
title on February 17 in Comitan.
But this time he would not be
denied, as he completely
dominated his foe before scoring
a stoppage in the final round.
It was convincing and
impressive, and makes Solis the
WBF Boxer Of The Month for
February 2018.
With victories in his last four
bouts, the WBF World Light
Welterweight Champion now holds
a professional record of 24-8-4
(20) and the future looks bright
for this young man from
Progreso.
