Tim Robin Lihaug
from Norway is the World Boxing
Federation (WBF) Boxer of the
Month for March 2020, after
winning the WBF World Light
Heavyweight title on March 7.
At the Griegehallen in his
home-town Bergen, Lihaug gutted
out a unanimous decision over
tough co-challenger Vartan
Avetisyan (18-2-1) from Armenia
in a highly entertaining fight.
Having won the WBO European
title in his previous outing,
this was the next step on the
ladder for Lihaug, who had
declared that he would retire if
not successful in his first
world championship bid.
Besides accomplishing a life
goal, the 27-year old improved
his professional record to 20-4
(10).
