Fatuma Zarika,
33-13-2 (17), moved up two
weight classes, from Super
Bantamweight to Super
Featherweight, to win the vacant
World Boxing Federation (WBF)
Womens World title on November
13 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
She defeated game co-challenger
Patience Mastara from Zimbabwe
by unanimous decision, and is
the WBF Boxer of the Month for
November 2020.
Arguably the best Kenyan female
boxer of all time, certainly the
most accomplished, Zarika (35)
is a former WBC World Champion,
having lost that title last year
in her fourth defense.
