boxing history, when Steven
”Small” Bagwasi won the vacant
World Boxing Federation (WBF)
World Super Featherweight title
on August 26 in Gaborone.
27-year-old Bagwasi, 8-1 (2),
scored a wide unanimous decision
over Said Chino from Tanzania,
in the main event of a show at
the UB Indoor Sports Arena.
Besides becoming the first ever
world champion boxer from
Botswana, and making his
countrymen proud, Bagwasi also
earns WBF Boxer of the Month
honours for August 2022.
