Noni Tenge, the South African
lady with the dynamite fists,
gets her opportunity to win a
world title when she comes up
against Fransieka Mbang from
Cameroon at the Orient Theatre
in East London, South Africa on
Friday 18 December. On the line
will be the WBF welterweight
crown.
Mbang, whose correct record is
7- 2- 1, is the only opponent
who has not been beaten by Tenge
when they drew their first fight
two years ago. Since then the
lady from East London has been
unstoppable winning seven in a
row, six via the short route.
Tenge who spars with some of the
toughest male boxers in the
country, and actually holds her
own against such formidable
opposition, is taking nothing
for granted.
“I want that World Boxing
Federation belt, and I will
leave no stone unturned in order
to take the title”, the humble
Tenge announced.
Top South African lady referee
Siya Vakaza will be the third
'man' in the ring.
