Youngdoo Choi Takes WBF Asia Pacific Title In Japan

Thailand-based South Korean Youngdoo Choi is the new World Boxing Federation (WBF) Asia Pacific Lightweight Champion after winning the vacant title on Monday, November 4, in Osaka, Japan.

In control from the first bell, Choi stopped fellow undefeated Japanese co-challenger Shinto Goto in the sixth round.

The new WBF Champion, who won the Thai national title last year in Bangkok, is now 4-0 (4) in the paid code. Goto drops to 4-1 (2).

The fight was the main event of a show promoted by Kenji Maki.
