Two World Boxing Federation
(WBF) All Africa titles will be
contested inside the next couple
of weeks, as fights are set for
Port Elizabeth in South Africa
and Kampala, Uganda.
On Saturday November 23 in Port
Elizabeth, former amateur
stand-out Sanele Magwaza will
take on former WBF
Intercontinental champion Mfundo
Gwayana for the vacant All
Africa Flyweight title.
Presented by Aphile Boxing
Promotions, local hero Magwaza,
4-0 (2), is in tough early in
his career, while Southpaw
Gwayana, 21-14-3 (9), is on a
mission to prove he has plenty
left in the tank to handle the
up-start.
Another promising prospect will
be thrown in at the deep end on
Friday November 29 in Kampala,
when Shafik Kiwanuka attempts to
capture the vacant All Africa
Heavyweight crown against
Thamsanqa Dube from Zimbabwe.
Nicknamed “Killing Machine”,
Kiwanuka is only 2-0 (2) in the
paid ranks, while former
Zimbabwe national and WBA Pan
Africa titlist Dube enters the
fight at 14-3 (8).
The fight is the main event of a
show staged by Great Strikers
International.
