Two Botswana rivals will rumble for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Bantamweight title on Friday November 27.

Tshepang Babui vs. Onkarabile Mothibedi will headlining a show promoted by Scud Missile Promotions at the Grand Palm in the country's capital Gaborone.

It is a historic and highly anticipated event, as, baring a draw, the winner will be the first ever professional boxing champion from Botswana.

For “Gear Box” Babui, 7-3-2 (4), this will be his second crack at the title, as he lost a decision to South African Tholomusa Ngema, also in Gaborone, in May of 2019.

A slight underdog, “Scara” Mothibedi, 5-2 (1), is entering his first championship fight, and is looking to make the most of it.

He knows his opponent well, having been his sparring partner for the failed title-challenge last year.

The card, which will also feature five undercard bouts, will be broadcast live by Botswana Television (BTV).
