Former world title-challenger Shefat Isufi convincingly beat Tomas Adamek on Saturday night, September 4, to win the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title at the Hansehalle in Luebeck, Germany.

Germany´s Isufi dropped Adamek in rounds five and ten, but the tough Czech survived the counts of referee Dominic Kuhaupt both times, and never stopped trying his best.

But after ten rounds of boxing, there was no doubt at all that Isufi had won clearly. The judges scores were 99-90, 98-91 and 98-90.

Isufi improved his professional record to 32-4-2 (23). Adamek is now 29-20-2 (10).

The new Intercontinental champion called out WBF World Light Heavyweight Champion Tim Robin Lihaug from Norway immediately after the fight.

The fight headlined a show promoted by former Heavyweight contender Alexander Petkovic.
