Francis Tchoffo and Brandon
Deslaurier both captured World
Boxing Federation (WBF)
International titles on Friday
night, December 3, at Salle
Bellegrave in Pessac, France.
Tchoffo won the vacant Middleweight
title, outworking young and tough
Serbian Nikola Vlajkov for a wide
unanimous decision, scoring a
knock-down along the way.
Judges Vincent Dupas, Bulcsu Gabris
and Zbigniew Lagosz scored the fight
97-91, 99-88 and 96-92 respectively.
Tchoffo, originally from Cameroon,
improved his professional record to
20-19-1 (6). Vlajkov, only twenty
years old, falls to 10-9-1 (6).
In
the co-main event, Brandon
Deslaurier took home the vacant
International Cruiserweight title by
stopping late substitute Levani
Lukhutashvili from Georgia in round
two.
Deslaurier connected with a clean
left hook which made Lukhutashvili
turn away in pain. The doctor was
called to inspect, and it was
discovered that the visitor had
broken his jaw.
Deslaurier is now 13-4-1 (2), while
Lukhutashvili drops to 10-11 (9).
Promoter was Spuc Boxe.
