Two World Boxing Federation (WBF)
All Africa title fights are set to
take place in South Africa, on
February 26 and February 27
respectively.
On Saturday February
26 at the
Multipurpose Center in Nongoma,
Kwa-Zulu-Natal, local favorite
Khumbulani “Flint” Mdletshe faces
compatriot Lybon Ntshani for the
vacant WBF All Africa Welterweight
title, on a show promoted by Ludonga
Promotions.
Mdletshe, 8-3 (6), enters as a
slight favorite, mainly due to being
the more experienced fighter, but
Ntshani, 3-1 (3), who won the
Gauteng provincial title in his most
recent outing, is coming to win and
knows he has the power to prevail.
On Sunday February 27 in Venda, in a
pure fifty-fifty match-up, TLB
Boxing Promotions will stage South
African Junior Makondo against
Jacques Tshikubu Muvud from D.R.
Congo for the vacant WBF All Africa
Super Welterweight crown.
26-year-old Makondo, 7-5 (7), has
the less flattering record, but
probably has an advantage in power,
while Tshikubu Muvud (28), 7-1 (4),
may be the better technician and is
full of confidence coming off a win
in South Africa last September.
