FIGHT REPORT   Photo: Gcina Makhoba is still the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Flyweight Champion.

Gcina Makhoba left no doubt in retaining the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Flyweight title on Sunday October 2 at the Town Hall in Pietermartizburg, South Africa.

The champion convincingly stopped challenger Musawenkosi Ndwandwe in the second round, improving his professional record to 8-1-1 (3).

Makhoba dropped Ndwandwe early in round two, and then finished his foe with ferocious combinations shortly after. Ndwandwe falls to 7-5 (2).

This was a rematch, as Makhoba had won the vacant title by technical decision against Ndwandwe in February of 2020. This was his second title-defense.

The fight headlined a card promoted by Nomvela Shezi.
