Two promising local prospects,
Marlon Harrington and Gheith Karim,
will clash for the vacant World
Boxing Federation (WBF) North
America Super Welterweight title on
June 3 at the Little Ceasars Arena
in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Headlining the card will be WBF
Womens World Middleweight champion
Claressa Shields defending her title
against Costa Rica´s Hanna Gabriels.
Hard-punching Detroit native
Harrington, 8-1 (7), is looking to
rebound from the first setback of
his career, as he lost a decision to
12-1-2 Marquis Taylor last October,
and he is not taking the easy road.
In Iraqi-born Karim, 9-0 (3),
residing in nearby Dearborn, he will
be facing an undefeated southpaw
full of confidence going into his
first championship fight.
For both men it is a big chance to
make a name for themselves on a huge
stage, in front of a big crowd,
leading into one of the sports best
boxers in Shields defending her WBF
world title.
Promoted
by Salita Promotions,
the show will be broadcast live by
DAZN.
