In February of last year, Jacques
Muvud and Junior Makondo fought to a
draw in what was one of the most
exciting World Boxing Federation
(WBF) fights of 2022.
Now they are set to go again, on
June 23 at the Meropa Casino in
Limpopo, South Africa, headlining a
card promoted by Limpopo Champions
Boxing.
In their first fight the WBF All
Africa title was on the line, but
this time they will clash for the
vacant WBF Intercontinental Super
Welterweight title.
27-year-old Makondo, from Gauteng,
South Africa, enters the fight with
an 8-6-1 (7) record, while Muvud
(30), originally from D.R. Congo but
now based in South Africa, is 7-2-1
(4).
Both felt they had done enough to
win the first fight, so there is
definitely unfinished business in
this fight where the styles almost
guarantee another thriller.
