Jackie Brice Boxing Promotions
returns with a card at the Indoor
Centre in Mossel Bay, South Africa
on July 8, featuring a World Boxing
Federation (WBF) title bout.
Billed as “Rumble At The Bay”,
compatriots Sanele Mhlungu and
Lebogang “Gift” Pilane, a late
substitute, will square off for the
vacant International Light Flyweight
title in the evenings main event.
Both boxers have been in the pro
ranks for a while, since 2018 and
2015 respectively, but have suffered
from inactivity in periods and will
be looking to kick-start their
careers with an impressive victory.
Mhlungu brings a 4-1-2 (4) record to
the table, and might have an
advantage in power, while Pilane is
4-5 (2) but the more experienced of
the two.
Pilane´s record is deceiving, and as
a former Free State champion at
Flyweight he knows he has what it
takes to win at the championship
level.
Mhlungu must be considered a solid
favourite though, and is coming off
a solid knockout victory in April
and will be aiming to do the same to
Pilane.
