Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens World
Light Welterweight champion after
winning the vacant title on Saturday
night, July 29, at City Square in
Tetovo, Macedonia.
From Turkey, Nur Turhan beat former
WBA and WBC world titlist Edith
Soledad Matthysse from Argentina by
unanimous decision after a
controlled and impressive
performance.
Judges Mile Jovanovski and Gorgi
Catleski both scored it a 100-90
shut-out, while judge Xhemal Elmazi
had it slightly closer at 99-91.
The new WBF world champion (28)
improved her professional record to
5-0 (3). Matthysse (42) drops to
17-15-1 (1).
The fight was the main event of a
show promoted by Halim Promotion.
