Undefeated Germany-based Thai
Phannarai Netisri successfully
defended the World Boxing Federation
(WBF) Womens World Super
Bantamweight title on Tuesday,
October 3, at the Grosse Freiheit in
Hamburg.
Netisri, who, except for two bouts
in the Czech Republic, has boxed
exclusively in Germany since turning
pro in 2019, scored a wide unanimous
decision over American Danielle
Bennett.
The defending champion found good
solutions to an otherwise tricky
assignment against a much taller,
southpaw opponent, and was simply
the better, sharper and more active
boxer.
After ten rounds of boxing, judges
Irene Kostenko, Dominic Kuhaupt and
Joerg Ilinseer all scored the fight
identically: 98-92.
Only twenty-three years old, Netisri
improved her professional record to
14-0 (6), while NABF titlist Bennett
lost her second world
championship-challenge and drops to
7-2 (1) after winning her previous
five fights.
The fight was the main event of a
show promoted by Boxen im Norden.
