World Boxing Federation (WBF) Asia
Pacific Featherweight champion Jae
Sung Song is ready to make the
second defense of his title on
February 11 in Taebaek, South Korea.
Sung Song, 4-0-1 (4), a 27-year-old
puncher, will face fellow southpaw
Delmar Pellio from the Philippines,
who enters the fight at 9-2 (4).
The South Korean champion won the
WBF title in June of last year,
knocking out Kevin Aseniero in round
five. In November he retained his
crown with a third round stoppage of
Bingcheng Zou.
For Dellio, nicknamed “Eye of the
Tiger”, it will be his second
straight title-opportunity. Last
time out he lost a spirited effort
in China for the IBF Asia
Lightweight title, when local man
Hong Quan Dinh defeated him by
decision.
The fight will headline a show at
Taebaek Gowon Stadium, promoted by
Bumjin Promotion in association with
Playground.
