Zimbabwean prospect Tatenda Biningu
won his second World Boxing
Federation (WBF) belt on Saturday
night in Harare, beating Tanzanian
Sadiki Momba for the vacant
Intercontinental Super Featherweight
title.
Biningu, who held the WBF
International title in 2022, was
expected to get a tough test against
the experienced Momba, but he proved
to be a level above.
After an uneventful and somewhat
ugly first round, Biningu stepped on
the gas in round two and ended the
fight with a left-right combination,
sending Momba down for the full
count. Official time of stoppage
1:16.
22-year-old Biningu improved his
professional record to 15-1 (9),
while Momba falls to 29-11-3 (14).
The fight was the main event of a
show promoted by former WBF world
Middleweight champion Charles
Manyushi.
