South Korean World Boxing Federation (WBF) Asia Pacific Lightweight ruler Min Hyuk Jang will defend his title against Thailand's Wachirasak Waiyawong on November 2 at the Dalseong Arena in Daegu.

Jang, 13-0-1 (10), won the title in June of 2022, stopping another Thai, Rachata Khaophimai, in three rounds.

In 2023 he moved down to Featherweight and first drew with Peng Huang for the vacant WBF International title, but later in the year scored a split decision against the Chinese to win his second WBF title.

Now back at Lightweight, he can expect a stern challenge from Waiyawong, 7-5-1 (4), who is a former Asia Boxing Federation champion at Super Lightweight.

His mediocre record not doing him justice, Waiyawong won the ABF title in June of 2022 by defeating former IBF world champion Amnat Ruenroeng.
