Reigning World Boxing Federation
(WBF) world Super Welterweight
champion Freddy Kiwitt defends his
title for first time on March 29 at
the Deutches Haus in Flensburg,
Germany on March 29.
He will take on hard-punching
Venezuelan Evander Castillo on a
card which also features two
additional WBF championship fights.
Kiwitt, 26-3 (16), won the title in
November of 2023, stopping another
Venezuelan in Luis Enrique Romero in
eleven rounds.
Castillo, 17-2 (16), has won two
bouts since losing to Milan Prat for
the WBO Global title in France Last
december.
In a second world championship
fight, WBF Womens International
champion Lara Ochmann, 14-2 (5),
will face Japan´s Akane Fujiwara,
7-4-1 (2) for the vacant WBF world
Super Featherweight title.
A winner of her last five, Ochmann
will be in with a tough
co-challenger in Fujiwara, who won
the WBO Asia Pacific title in her
most recent outing.
Finally, a highly intriguing clash
of undefeated up-and-comers will
decide the vacant WBF Eurasia
Welterweight title, as Thulasi
Tharumalingam, 11-0 (6), squares off
with fellow German Darian Yasar,
12-0-1 (4).
