Undefeated Slovenian stars Alen
Sisic and Djelon Januzaj shined in
winning World Boxing Federation
(WBF) titles on Saturday November 22
at the Sports Hall Vizmarje Brod in
Ljubljana.
Sisic stopped Venezuelan Gregorio
Marcano in four rounds to win the
vacant WBF Intercontinental Super
Middleweight title.
Coming through his first title fight
and against his most accomplished
opponent so far, Sisic is now 8-0
(6) as a pro. Marcano is 17-11-1
(15).
At Heavyweight, Januzaj also took
home WBF Intercontinental honours,
getting rid of Todorche Cvetkov from
Macedonia inside three rounds.
Improving his record to 7-0 (7), for
Januzaj it was also his first
championship bout. Cvetkov, who had
only previously lost to top class
opponents Nelson Hysa and Umut
Camkiran, drops to 14-3 (11).
