The World Boxing Federation has some of the very best female boxers as the organizations world champions. Middleweight title-holder Christina Hammer and Light Welterweight queen Myriam Lamare both hold top spots in the BoxRec world rankings, while Anne Sophie Mathis and Nadia Hokmi are ranked third at Welterweight and Super Flyweight respectively. Irma Sanchez is ranked number four at Flyweight by the computer-rankings.

Now another world # 1 is set to contest a WBF World title, as BoxRec’s top Super Middleweight, Zita Zatyko (13-0-1, 10 KOs) takes on former foe and fellow Hungarian Diana Kiss (ranked number three in the world) on November 12 in Szekszard, Hungary.

The pair fought twice in 2009 with one draw and a victory for Zatyko, and as late as this past June they clashed again. This time Zatyko took a ten-round decision after a hotly-contested battle, and the rivalry has grown bigger and bigger over the years.

Kiss (7-4-1, 6 KOs) will be looking for revenge on November 12, and success in lifting a WBF world title in her second attempt. She came up short in a challenge for the Middleweight crown this past February against the aforementioned Christina Hammer.A former Hungarian national Kickboxing champion and K-1 World Champion, 31-year-old Zita “The Giant” Zatyko will be in her first boxing world title fight, having won Hungarian and Slovakian International championships during an unbeaten run that has been almost three years in the making.

While she is already 2-0-1 against Kiss, there is no guarantee that she will remain unbeaten after their fourth encounter. There is a reason why they are fighting again: It is a world class match-up! However, if successful, Zatyko is dreaming of a super-fight against WBF Women’s Heavyweight Champion Natasha Ragosina.

“All boxers should want to fight the best, and that is what I want. Ragosina is very good, but my goal is to fight her and beat her. After I win the world title at Super Middleweight, I would love to move up and take on Ragosina at Heavyweight”, said Zatyko.

The Zatyko vs. Kiss fight will be promoted by Profibox-Promotion on a show huge show with nine bouts on the undercard, including a national title fight as the main supporting contest.
