Hassan Azaouagh captured the
vacant World Boxing Federation
International bantamweight title
Friday night (April 16)
outpointing tough South American
Luis William Singo at the
‘Espace
Francois Mitterrand’
in
Pas-de-Calais,
France.
23 year old Azaouagh took the
title via a unanimous decision
after 10 entertaining rounds in
front of a sell out crowd. The
Frenchman moves his record to
7-6-0 while Singo drops to
12-4-2.
Referee was Jean Piere Van
Imschoot from Belgium, judges
Benny Decroos (Belgium), Alain
Hemelaars (Belgium) and Andre
Pasquier (France). WBF
supervisor: Jean Marcel Nartz
(Germany).
Azaouagh will be hoping to
defend his WBF crown later in
the year.
