On Saturday May 18 in Queretaro, Mexico, Badillo Promotions will stage an interesting World Boxing Federation championship event in front of an expected full house at the Qiu Club.

In the shows main event, hometown favourite Malena Muneka Munoz squares off with compatriot Yolanda “La Negra” Segura for the vacant WBF Womens International Lightweight title.

While Munoz is best known and celebrated for winning numerous titles as a Kickoxer, Segura is the more experienced of the two in traditional boxing, and already have championship experience.

Currently Mexico, one of the proudest and most accomplished boxing-nations in the world, has several WBF World Champions, including big names such as Light Welterweight king Humberto Soto and Flyweight titlist Irma Sanchez.

The winner of the Munoz vs. Segura clash could be in the mix to challenge reigning WBF World Champion Lucia Morelli from Italy in the not too distant future.

The show, which will feature seven undercard bouts, is an anticipated event in Queretaro, and many of the areas VIP personalities will reportedly be at ringside.
