On Saturday April 30 at the
Kulturhaus in Tangerhuette,
Germany, Peter Pelk Promotion
will present a stacked card of
professional boxing, headlined
by two of his upcoming stars in
intriguing World Boxing
Federation (WBF) Championship
fights.
Heavyweight puncher Samir Nebo,
7-1-1 (7), will take on
Belorussian Andrei Mazanik, 12-6
(9), for the vacant WBF
Intercontinental title, in a
match-up between two boxers who
turned their careers around
after a tough start to their
campaigns.
Nebo, born in Cafa in Montenegro
but based in Torgau,
Germany for many years, lost his
professional debut by knockout
and only managed to get a draw
in his second bout. But since
then he has been on a roll, and
stopped seven opponents in a
row.
Despite a good start where he
won his first three outings,
Mazanik held a
less-than-impressive 5-6 record
after eleven fights. But he too
has managed to get back on track
with seven straight victories,
five of which has come inside
the scheduled distance.
The co-featured bout will be a
clash of heavy-handed undefeated
bangers, as Kazakhstan-born
Sadam Sascha Kerimov, 14-0 (14)
squares off with Timur
Zaslavskiy, 6-0 (5), originally
from Uzbekistan, for the vacant
WBF International Light
Heavyweight title.
Still only 22 years of age,
Kerimov has been impressive
since turning pro at seventeen
in March 2012. While he only
fought twice in 2015, winning
both in the first round, he
proved his big potential by
stopping battle-tested former
WBF Intercontinental champion
Victor Dick in five rounds in
December 2014.
For Timur Zaslavskiy, it will be
his first title fight. Despite
being five years older than his
opponent, he is less experienced
but known to be a dangerous and
aggressive boxer, especially in
the early rounds. Four of his
five stoppage-victories has come
in the opening round, while the
fifth came in round two.
With thirty-five combined
knockouts in thirty-nine
combined victories, the fans in
Tangerhuette are guaranteed
plenty of drama in the two WBF
title fights on April 30. In
evenly matched bouts like these,
with so much power involved, the
results could go either way.
