After coming up short against
some of the best Middleweights
in the world, Poland’s Robert
Swierzbinski is looking to get
his career back on track when he
squares off with Timo Laine from
Finland for the vacant World
Boxing Federation (WBF)
International Middleweight title
on Saturday September 24.
With a record of 16-6-1 (3),
Swierzbinski can look back at a
career that has so far brought
him fights against the likes of
contenders Chris Eubank Jr.,
Tommy Langford and Maciej
Sulecki, as well as former world
champions David Lemieux and
Hassan N´dam N´jikam.

While he lost to those big
names, it has given him plenty
of top-level experience, and now
he will get an opportunity to
shine on home ground, for a
change, in front of his own
fans, when he faces 32-year-old
Laine at the Hala Szkoly
Podstawowej in his home-town
Bialystok.
Timo Laine, a former Finnish
national champion, is 15-7 (4)
since turning professional in
2010. In his most recent outing,
this past July, he lost a brave
WBO Intercontinental
title-challenge to common foe
Tommy Langford, so just like
Swierzbinski he will be aiming
to rebound on a high note.
As the main event of a show
labelled Tiger Speed Boxing
Night, the Robert
Swierzbinski vs. Timo Laine WBF
International title fight is
presented by Darek Snarski
Boxing Production, and will be
televised live in Poland by TVP
Sport.
