The vacant World Boxing
Federation (WBF) Eurasia
Cruiserweight title will be the
prize, when Tefik Bajrami and
Marino Goles fight on Saturday
October 22 as the main event of
a show staged at Pallati i
Rinise, the Palace of Youth &
Sports, in Pristina, Kosovo.
Born in Kosovo, Tefik
“Hurricane” Bajrami, 10-1 (7),
is currently based in Zurich,
Switzerland, so it will be a
home-coming fight for him
against the experienced Goles
from Croatia, who brings a 21-7
(19) record against the tougher
opposition.
Bajrami turned pro in 2010 and
has since averaged only a couple
of fights a year, keeping busy
running a martial arts school in
Luzern. In October of 2015 he
won a minor regional title
against journeyman Attila
Makula, which he retained with
an impressive first round
stoppage of Georgian Grigol
Abuladze last April.
Goles, nicknamed “Cro Beast”,
has been more active since
entering the paid ranks in 2009.
He too has captured a few minor
belts, and he has been in with
notable Cruiserweights and
Heavyweights such as Alexander
Petkovic (48-4-4), Mark de Mori
(26-1-2), Gary Cornish (19-0)
and Herve Hubeaux (20-1).
The Bajrami vs. Goles WBF
Eurasia Cruiserweight title
fight, and undercard featuring
local pros and amateurs, will
also be promoted by Tefik
Bajrami.
