Undefeated and hard-punching WBF
All Africa Welterweight Champion
Andre “King Cheetah” Valavanis
will be stepping up in more ways
than one, when he returns to the
ring on Friday, December 2 at
the fashionable Greek Club,
Heliopolis in Cairo, Egypt.

|
Not only will the 24-year-old
from Cairo-suburb Ain Shams be
venturing up in weight, he will
also be facing his stiffest test
to date in Tanzanian Maono Ally
for the vacant World Boxing
Federation (WBF) International
Super Welterweight title.
Having won the All Africa title
last June, with a third-round
stoppage of compatriot Shady
Mamdou, Valavanis has since
taken his unblemished record to
6-0 (5) by staying active with
two non-title fight victories
lasting a combined total of
three rounds.
He should not expect an equally
easy ride against Ally, who
brings a 5-1 (2) ledger to the
show-down, and has scored two
convincing victories since
suffering his sole defeat this
past February.

|
|
Unlike Valavanis, Ally is used to
fighting at Super Welterweight, and
the Dar Es Salaam boxer has vowed to
emerge victorious.
Preceded by a strong undercard
featuring local talent, “Big City
Dreams”, Andre Valavanis vs. Maono
Ally for the vacant WBF
International Super Welterweight
title, headlines a show presented by
L.B. Sports Promotions in
association with Fitbox.
