Classy Namibian Abraham
Ndauendapo excelled in front of
his home-town fans in
Swakopmund, winning the vacant
World Boxing Federation (WBF)
All Africa Super Featherweight
title on Friday, July 28,
defeating tough South African
Nkosinathi Ntshangase.
Fighting in one of the featured
bouts of a show promoted by
Kalakoda Promotions at 5000 seat
state of the art arena The Dome,
Ndauendapo lived up to his
ring-moniker “Energy”, and
proved to be a level above his
gutsy but out-classed foe.
Boxing wonderfully for ten
rounds he was awarded a clear
and much-deserved unanimous
decision, as judges Ricky
Tshabalala and Laizy Nainda both
gave Ntshangase one round,
scoring the fight 99-91, while
judge Filemon Mweya had it a
shut-out at 100-90. Referee in
charge of the action was Timo
Haikonda.
A pro since 2007, the
33-year-old new WBF All Africa
Champion improved his record to
17-4 (5). Ntshangase, also 33
and never stopped inside the
distance in a career that
started in 2009, falls to
14-10-1 (8).
