Rising outfit Borizteca Boxing
Promotions presents World Boxing
Federation (WBF) Championship
boxing on Friday June 22 at the
Salón Mezzanine in Tijuana,
Mexico.
Billed as “Now or Never” (Ahora
ó Nunca), the main event sees
Rafael Ramon Ramirez and Ramon
Barajas clash for the vacant WBF
Mexican Super Welterweight
title.
38-year-old Ramirez is 20-4-2
(4) since turning pro at
nineteen in 1999, fighting in
both the United States and
Mexico, and has won his last
five outings.
Struggling to land big fights,
this will be his first crack at
a professional title, and he
will undoubtedly be very focused
to make the most of it.
Ramon "Cholo" Barajas (33)
is also entering his first
significant championship fight, and at
11-16
(4) he must be considered the
underdog going in.
But he realises that this is an
opportunity to resurrect his
career, so it will be two hungry
and determined boxers going at
it.
Also
on the card, undefeated Cuban
Marcos Forestal, 7-0 (4), takes
on Daniel Vega, 7-6 (4), for the
vacant WBF International Super
Bantamweight title.
The two main fights will be preceded by a
stacked undercard featuring a
long line of promising local
prospects in well-matched bouts.
