It was a rather quiet 2010 for
WBF women’s world heavyweight
champion Natascha Ragosina, 22-0
(13), who won her title in
December ’09 in her first career
outing in her native Russia,
after spending her entire career
in German rings.
Prior to crowning herself at
heavyweight with a stunning KO
over Pamela London, the pretty
Ragosina had reigned supreme at
super middleweight. The win over
London brought the 34-year-old
the WBF Female Fighter of the
Year award.
Now, after occupying herself
with promotional and advertising
activities for most of 2010,
Ragosina and her German promoter
Ulf Steinforth of SES Boxing
announced at a press conference
in Moscow their future ring
plans.
“Natascha had already started
training in the autumn but then
injured a tendon in her foot,”
Steinforth explained, “but now
she is healthy again and we have
started to plan our next show in
Russia.”
As for her ambitions, Ragosina
announced:
“I really want to get back into
the ring now and win again. My
next fight will be for the WBF
world title at light
heavyweight, because I want to
become a three-weight world
champion.
That’s my goal now!” |
