Poland is the WBF Boxer of the
Month for
September 2016.
After turning
pro in 2011 and winning some
regional titles, 30-year-old
Opalach reached the pinnacle of
his career so far when he beat
Kenyan Daniel Wanyonyi to become
world champion on September 10
in Goldap, Poland.
Opalach put
on a marvelous performance
against the former African and
Kenyan national champion, who
earlier in the year went twelve
hard rounds with Frenchman Tony
Averlant for the WBF World Light
Heavyweight title, winning by
third round TKO.
