South African Sanele Magwaza
will make his first defense of
the World Boxing Federation
(WBF) All Africa Bantamweight
title against compatriot Luzuku
Siyo on Sunday July
11 at the
Nangoze Jebe Hall in his
home-town Port Elizabeth.
Magwaza, 5-1 (2), won the WBF
title in November of 2019 with a
split decision over Anathi
Stelle, and is now ready to
headline again in what could
easily be another difficult and
action-packed fight.
Siyo, from nearby Duncan
Village, has a clear edge in
experience with a 17-5 record,
and is a former South African
and IBO Intercontinental
titlist. With fourteen of his
wins coming inside the distance,
he is likely the more powerful
of the too as well.
With that said, the reigning
champion will be hell-bend to
hold on to his title, while the
veteran puncher should be highly
motivated, knowing that this is
a great opportunity for him to
take his career to another level
again.
The Magwaza vs. Siyo WBF All
Africa Bantamweight title fight
will be promoted by Nyusa Boxing
Promotions, in cooperation with
the Nelson Mandela Bay
Municipality.
