Power-punching Junlong Zhang from
China will fight Germany´s Erdogan
Kadrija for the vacant World Boxing
Federation (WBF) World Heavyweight
title on October
29 at the Sheraton
Centre Toronto Hotel in Toronto,
Canada.
A pro for almost exactly ten years,
“The Dragon King”, undefeated at
19-0 (18), is a former WBF Asia
Pacific and Intercontinental
Champion, and has also held the IBO
Asia Pacific and WBA Oceania titles.
After seventeen bouts in China, the
40-year-old southpaw recently
relocated to Canada and had his
first fight in his new home-country
this past May when he went the
distance for the first time but won
a clear unanimous decision over
Mexican Guillermo Casas.
He will now be looking to start a
new knockout-streak against
Kosovo-born Kadrija, 18-5 (12), who
is a considerable underdog but will
travel to Canada determined to cause
an upset by scoring the biggest win
of his career.
The Zhang vs. Kadrija WBF World
Heavyweight title fight is the main
event of a show billed as “The
Making of Champions”, promoted by
Brother Boxing Promotions and Armand
Teodorescu.
