France-based World Boxing Federation
(WBF) International Middleweight
champion Francis Tchoffo, 20-19-1
(6), will return to his
birth-country Cameroon to make the
first defense of his title on
December 23.
Fighting for the first time as a pro
in Cameroon, Tchoffo, will square
off with Argentinian challenger Juan
Manuel Obelar, 9-4-3 (7), at the
Stade Mbappe Leppe, an outdoor
football stadium in the city of
Douala.
A pro for fifteen years, Tchoffo won
the WBF title last December in
France when he scored a unanimous
decision over Serbian Nikola
Vlajkov.
Having taken on all comers since
very early in his career, that was
his first successful title-challenge
and he will be looking to build on
the momentum against Obelar in front
of a large crowd.
Tchoffo vs. Obelar will headline a
card promoted by Champion United
Boxing Academy Promotion, and will
be preceded by a strong undercard.
