Syathaba Boxing Promotions & Sports presents “No Mercy” on August 5 at the APN Portuguese Hall in Durban, South Africa, a show headlined by an intriguing World Boxing Federation (WBF) title fight.

In an all-South African clash, Luvuyo Mphuthi will face Sanele Msimang with the winner crowned the new WBF International Light Welterweight champion.

Turning pro in 2015, Mputhi brings a record of 6-3 (5), while Msimang is considerably more experienced at 15-4 (8) since his debut in 2011.

Msimang is a former KwaZulu-Natal Super Featherweight champion, and challenged for the South African Lightweight title in 2021. Mphuthi enters his first championship fight, and must be considered the underdog.

For both boxers it is a massive opportunity, and with the loser potentially reduced to stepping-stone status, a fire-fight is expected.

A solid undercard of five additional bouts featuring local talent will precede the main event.
