On Friday night in Madrid, Spain,
Jordan Camacho won the vacant World
Boxing Federation (WBF) Eurasia
Super Bantamweight title.
At the beautiful Gran Casino,
Ecuadorian-born Camacho scored a
sixth round technical knockout of
Spain-based Nicaraguan Gerson
Larios.
It was an entertaining fight after a
slow first round, and just when you
thought Camacho was taking over
Larios came back with his own
attacks to make things interesting.
The underdog appeared very
determined to cause an upset, and
came back strong every time Camacho
put pressure on him.
But in round five a nasty swelling
had developed under the left eye of
Larios. He continued to fight back
as best he could and finished the
round, but when the bell rang for
round six he remained on his stool.
Jordan Camacho (25) took his
professional record to 8-0 (4),
while Larios (28) falls to 7-14 (3).
The fight was promoted by Tundra
Promotions.
