22-year-old undefeated German star
Sarah Liegmann is the new World
Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens World
Featherweight champion.
On Saturday night, March 23, at the
Zoo-Gesellschaftshaus in Frankfurt,
Liegmann convincingly defeated
Venezuelan Ana Maria Lozano by
landslide unanimous decision.
Liegmann was just too sharp and
talented for the very experienced
Lozano, who did her best to find a
way but was out-boxed in every
round.
After ten rounds of boxing, judges
Adrian Laschescu, Rustam Rahimov and
Andreas Mueller all scored the fight
100-90 in favour of Liegmann.
A pro since since September of 2021,
Liegmann improved her professional
record to 10-0 (2), while Lozano,
coming up short in her ninth attempt
at world honours, drops to 24-13-1
(19).
The fight headlined a championship
triple-header promoted by Rhein-Main
Promotion / Bugge & Bunn.
