A true veteran of the game will
challenge for the World Boxing
Federation (WBF) world Welterweight
title, as Sweden's Mikaela Lauren
collides with reigning champion
Michaela Kotaskova on November 30 in
Vienna, Austria.
Lauren, 33-7-1 (14), has had two
reigns as world champion at Super
Welterweight, holding WBC and UBO
titles between 2012 and 2016, and
the IBO title in 2018.
This will be her second attempt to
win a WBF title, as she lost a
challenge for the world Middleweight
title to Christina Hammer in 2013.
Kotaskova, 8-0-2 (4), originally
from the Czech Republic but based in
Austria, won the WBF world
Welterweight crown last April when
she stopped Argentinian and South
American titlist Erica Juana
Gabriela Alvarez in the tenth round.
She has since won two non-title
bouts, and is now facing what could
be her sternest test to date in her
first world title-defense.
Kotaskova vs. Lauren will be the
main event of Bounce Fight Night,
promoted by Boxteam Bounce at the
InterContinental Hotel in Vienna.
