Fighting in his home-town,
Villemandeur, France, Loic Tajan
wasted no time in defeating
Venezuelan Eliu Canario to become
World Boxing Federation Interim
Intercontinental Bantamweight
champion on Saturday night, April
12.
It was quick and explosive, as the
two boxers traded shots from the
first bell. Both connected, but
Tajan continuously hurt Canario
while absorbing his opponents
punches without much trouble.
After three knock-downs in the first
round, it was all over as the
referee had seen enough and waved
the fight off.
The new WBF champion improved his
professional record to 12-3 (7).
Canario is now 17-6 (13).
