Oscar “Golden Boy” Ahlin, 26-2 (20),
will enjoy home-advantage when he
challenges World Boxing Federation
(WBF) world Light Heavyweight
champion Kambis Rahmani on May 10.
Germany´s Rahmani, 14-1-1 (11),
travels to Gothenburg in Ahlin´s
home-country of Sweden, to make what
will be his first title-defense.
Turning professional in 2011, Ahlin
won the IBO Continental title in
2021 and WBF Intercontinental
honours in April of 2024 when he
edged the very capable Michal Ryba
in Malmo.
This will be Ahlin´s first shot at a
world championship, and promoter
Armand Krajnc, the former WBO world
champion, has provided optimal
conditions for him by bringing
Rahmani to Sweden.
Rahmani became WBF world champion
last April when he stopped Almir
Skrijejl from Montenegro in four
rounds.
The fight headlines ABP Fight Night
12 at Jacy´z Hotel in Gothenburg,
streamed live by Pluto TV.
