American super-star Claressa Shields
is still the World Boxing Federation
(WBF) world Heavyweight champion
after successfully defending her
title on Saturday, July 26, at
Little Caesars Arena in Detroit,
USA.
Broadcast live world-wide on DAZN,
Shields won a clear unanimous
decision over Lani Daniels from New
Zealand, a two-weight IBF world
champion.
Shields (30), from Flint, Michigan,
was just too good in every way, and
while Daniels did her best she was
always one step behind.
After ten rounds of boxing, judges
Pasquale Procopio, Don Trella and
Gerard White scored the fight
100-90, 99-91 and 99-91
respectively.
Also the WBF world champion at
Middleweight, Shields took her
impressive record to 17-0 (3).
Daniels (37) travels back to
Pipiwai, her home-town, at 11-3-2
(1).
The fight was the main event of s
show promoted by Salita Promotions.
