Zimbabwean Bongani Makovora, 7-5
(3), is set to fight for the vacant
World Boxing Federation (WBF) All
Africa Bantamweight title on August
30 in Harare.
The 27-year-old home-man, will face
Musa Kananji, 2-1 (1), from Malawi
in the featured bout of a card
promoted by Judgement Day
Promotions.
Makovora turned professional in 2021
and won his first three bouts before
running into a rough spell with four
straight defeats.
He has since rebounded well, winning
four of his last five, only losing a
decision on away ground to Tanzanian
Oscar Duge this past February.
If he can emerge victorious on
August 30, and secure his first
title as a professional, he will
firmly prove that his mediocre
record is deceiving.
